Paul A. Heckert, Ph.D. is a professor of physics and astronomy at Western Carolina University with over 30 years experience teaching college level physics and astronomy. He has a Ph.D. in physics specializing in observational astronomy. John Austin, Ph.D. has over 30 years’ experience as a research scientist, with over 80 papers published on the stratosphere. His main interest is the connection between ozone depletion and climate change. Dr. Austin holds a BA and MA in mathematics and physics, and a PhD in atmospheric sciences from the University of Cambridge (UK). He was the (sole!) winner of the 2003 Buchan Prize of the Royal Meteorological Society and along with an almost uncountably large number of climate scientists, was a co-winner of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
