Dawn Smith is a Registered Veterinary Technician (Vet Nurse) with more than 30 years experience working in small animal clinical practice and in wildlife rehabilitation and conservation medicine. She holds an A.S. in Biology from Foothill College and presently works as a freelance writer and animal care management consultant.
Dawn is a travel writer for Bucket Tripper and has also written for Suite101, Wildlife Rescue Network and Examiner.com. She is the author of the chapter on Ground and Tree Squirrels in Hand-Rearing Wild and Domestic Mammals (L. J. Gage, ed.).
